Lamp Shades

Lamp shades soften the harsh lighting cast by electric light bulbs. They can also create a more esthetic room appearance than a bare light bulb, especially if the bulbs are basic utility bulbs. They can also be decorated with designs such as pictures or patterns to add to the general décor of a room. Fringes or bobbles might depend from the bottom of the shade. Some lamp shades, such as the Tiffany lamps, are made from colored glass. These change the color of the light as well as create a fashion statement all their own.
