Then take your wood filler and put it in the old holes, ensuring that it’s flat to the drawer’s surface. You may need sandpaper to work the hardened wood filler down until it’s flush with the dresser’s surface. In this case, you’ll also likely want to repaint the dresser to ensure the filled holes blend in.
Now you can simply screw the new hardware into the holes you previously drilled.
