Flower Touch Lamps
Touch lamps turn on the light with a simple touch of the hand rather than a flip, push-button or other mechanical switch. These contact-sensitive lamps are ideal for nightstands because they’re so easy to turn on in the dark. Typically the entire lamp is touch-sensitive, including the base and neck, both of which are metallic. Some touch lamps can turn a standard light bulb into a three-way bulb. Tapping the lamp once will cause the bulb to glow at 33% of its capacity, twice brings it to 66% and a third touch will cause the full wattage to glow.
