Finding a suitable place to store your console isn't easy, but a narrow console table is an ideal option for a small space where you may need a good storage solution. The narrow part of the table is normally the width, so it can fit neatly against a flat wall. Storage comes in various different ways. Before buying a narrow console table with storage, let's take a look at what you should think about.
The design of a console table is normally a high shelf around 3-4 feet tall, and a second shelf which is fitted just 3-4 inches from the ground. The lower shelf is the shelf on which you can store the console, but depending on the length of the table, there may be enough space to store more items.
To determine the right size for your storage console, the first thing you should think about is how much space you have – the more storage you have, the larger the furniture will need to be and therefore the more space it will take up.
Another factor to consider is how many items you need to store in the table. This varies from one home to the next, and if you're lacking space in the home, consider whether some items can be stored elsewhere.
Look around the room and decide how much space you have available for a new console table. You will need around three feet as a minimum, so if you are falling short of this number, it's worth looking at what you could rearrange to create some space.
The ideal length for you will also depend on the size of your console and the other equipment you wish to store on the unit. Set this up like you would if it was on the table, and take measurements of both length and width so that you have a reference point to work with.

Most of the storage in a narrow console table will come from two or three drawers. These are normally situated just underneath the higher shelf. Normally at a height of around three feet, it enables most of the household to easily open and close the drawers easily.
