Although teeter-totters are relatively safe for children, safety features like stopper poles and overlarge handles increase comfort and function. Stopper poles are small attachments under the seat that hit the ground first to soften the vibrations when the seat goes down. In addition, a tripod base provides extra stability and allows for 360-degree spinning.
