Harsh and rugged
For something which looks very natural and also suits a vintage style home, the harsh and rugged granite style can complement your existing furniture beautifully. The natural granite look is generally lighter than modern woods. This can create a two-tone effect, whereby the bulk of the coffee table is dark brown wood but the table top (or part of it) is natural light beige and brown granite.
Glossy and smooth

The table top is generally very smooth and glossy, while the legs and the rest of the frame is created from a solid cedar or mocha-colored wood.
