Chandeliers

Few items personalize a room like chandeliers. Once a place where many candles were placed in sconces, modern chandeliers often incorporate dangling crystals, or other reflective surfaces to increase the ambient lighting. Some chandeliers are themed, such as wagon wheels for old western themes, driftwood for a seaside effect or convoluted knots of rattan for an art nouveau effect. They provide an opportunity for placing more bulbs in a fixture and for placement of decorative bulbs such as Edison lights or flickering bulbs that simulate candlelight. Often, they are placed above a table or similar room feature.
