With built-in nightstands that extend past the frame, this solid wood Japandi bed frame sits extra low to the floor. The top of the faux leather headboard sits at 38.5” high and looks best with a 10” thick mattress. This bed frame is suitable for an adjustable mattress.
Designer Advice
The dark wood finish on this bed frame creates drama and contrasts perfectly with white bedding. In keeping with the Japandi design aesthetic, the more minimalist the bedding is, the better. A simple duvet that doesn’t hang past the mattress and two pillows are all you need to get the look exactly right. While you can add a box spring for extra support, much of the headboard would be hidden.
