Bulletin boards are a marvelous communication aid. They can be used to tack up the most recent bills, leave a note for other family members, or display special collections or information. A free-standing bulletin board can be used to display posters, classroom notes or even to help plot a novel or flowchart before it gets written into a more permanent format. The boards themselves often have a cork center where it is easy to attach things using pins or tacks. The frames can be wood or metal, and the boards can attach to a wall or they can be free-standing.
