A water closet or bathroom can be a cramped place, yet it is still a place where some storage is handy. When bathrooms do not have a built-in closet, or when the built-in closet is too small, an over the toilet unit can provide the perfect place to keep toilet paper, washcloths, hand towels, spare bars of soap and more.

The cabinets are usually supported by two or four legs and are fastened to the wall for security. Most of them are lightweight in material or construction, so it is best not to plan to keep a major portion of the family library or heavy vases on them. But for organizing those small things that are often used in a bathroom, they are handy, indeed.
