How long should a bench at the end of a bed be?

The appropriate length for a bench at the end of your bed depends on your bed frame’s width. For functionality, you don’t want a too small bench that you can’t sit on comfortably.

For end of bed benches for bedrooms, choose a bench around ¾ the length of your bed. For example, if you have a king size bed, which is 80” wide, select a bench that is at least 60”. If you have a queen size bed, which is 60” wide, make sure the bench is at least 45” wide. This ensures the bench always looks proportionate to your bed frame.
