Bedroom was initially a shelter with access from the garden. A huge wall taken down and three windows added to include this room in the house. The room is now more a mezzanine above the wine cellar, & the steps made specially to avoid using too much space
Bed Platform - I've heard of bed risers, but never thought of raising one half of an entire bedroom just for the bed and to provide a whole lot of extra storage. Novel idea!

To end off loft madness week (this was totally unplanned) I wanted to share this former warehouse...
Create a double loft bed along the crib wall, stairs in the middle for both to use, room for two mattresses with a half shelf between them (we can put curtains on the shelf to hide them from each other and put their few night toys and books into).

Woodwork. Skylights. Create your a wall in the middle of the room--so you can actually sit up in bed. Make it a half wall to keep the space open and light.

Idea: Raise this up a tad and make it a box-like structure. Add a foam pad, pillows, and blankets! An instant bed haha. Underneath could be a book nook and TV area. Just a thought!
